Therapy for self-understanding, authenticity and personal growth.
What Makes it Happen

Psychotherapy
Sometimes the way we have learned to live stops feeling like the way we want to live. Psychotherapy offers a place to understand how you got here, what you are carrying, and what might begin to change.
A place to start from where you are
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to change or even how to explain what is happening.

We can begin with whatever feels most present — something difficult, something confusing, a pattern you keep noticing, or simply a sense that life does not feel quite as you want it to.

From there, we can start to understand what is going on and what may be asking for your attention.

Understanding what has shaped you
None of us arrive at the present moment from nowhere. The ways we think, feel, relate and protect ourselves have usually developed for reasons that made sense somewhere along the way.

Therapy can help us look at those patterns with more curiosity and less judgement. When we begin to understand where something came from, those patterns may begin to feel less random, less confusing and less fixed.

That understanding can sometimes be enough to shift something in us. At other times, it gives us a clearer starting point for deciding what we want to do differently.
Understanding and change
Understanding can be therapeutic in itself. Sometimes, when something previously confusing or unresolved begins to make sense, it starts to settle differently inside us and no longer carries quite the same weight.

At other times, change needs something more active. We might work with particular habits, responses, fears, boundaries or choices, using exercises, practices or experiments alongside the therapy.

Often both processes happen together: something shifts internally while we also begin to respond differently in our lives.

What might we explore?
There is no fixed list of things you need to bring to therapy.

We might explore anxiety, relationships, loss, confidence, identity, difficult experiences, recurring patterns, questions about who you are, or a sense that something in your life needs to change.

Sometimes the issue is very clear. Sometimes it is only a feeling that something is not quite right.

Ways to work together
There is no single right way to begin. You can book one session, choose a little more continuity with four sessions in advance, or work with me through ongoing private messaging.

-
A private space to talk openly.
-
Explore whatever feels important to you.
-
Understand familiar thoughts, feelings and patterns.
-
Work at a pace that feels right for you.
Online via Zoom
An individual psychotherapy session gives us space to explore whatever is happening in your life. It might be a particular difficulty, a familiar pattern you are beginning to notice, or simply a feeling that something needs more attention.

There is no expectation to arrive with a clear agenda. We can begin with whatever feels most present and see where the conversation takes us.

You can book a single session without committing to ongoing therapy. If you decide to continue, we can agree on a frequency that suits you and the work we are doing.

An ongoing therapeutic conversation.

-
Revisit earlier conversations and notice patterns over time.

Pause your subscription for holidays/vacations or breaks.
Sometimes it is easier to write than to talk. Writing can help you find the words for something difficult and express thoughts or feelings that might otherwise remain unspoken.

Private Messaging offers an ongoing therapeutic conversation through private written messages on Zoom. I will read and respond at least twice each weekday, Monday to Friday, when messages are present.

Because our exchanges unfold over time, there is space to explore what emerges, develop understanding and return to something when you feel ready.

This is a recurring monthly subscription, separate from live psychotherapy sessions. It is not a real-time or crisis service.
Â
If either of us is taking a holiday or needs a break, we can arrange to pause your subscription, preserving the support you've already paid for.

Beginning
You don't need to have everything worked out before you begin.

If you feel ready, you can book a psychotherapy session directly. Alternatively, we can begin with a free 20-minute conversation to explore what you're looking for and whether working together feels right.

There is no obligation to continue.
