What can we talk about?

Sometimes there is something very clear you want to talk about. At other times, you may only know that something doesn’t feel quite right.

We might talk about relationships, anxiety, loss, confidence, identity, difficult experiences, patterns you keep finding yourself in, or questions about who you are and what you want from your life.

Or it might be harder to put into words than that.

You don’t have to decide beforehand what is important enough to bring. We can start with whatever is there and become curious about where it takes us.

The therapeutic conversation

Therapy is, at its heart, a conversation. But it is a different kind of conversation from the ones we usually have.

There is time to stay with something, notice what comes up, make connections and look at things from angles you may not have considered before.

I won’t be sitting there trying to diagnose you or tell you who you are. My role is to listen carefully, be curious with you, and help us make sense of what emerges together.

How change can happen

Sometimes understanding something differently is enough to begin a change. Something that has remained unresolved can start to settle into place, often without us having to consciously work out every step. As the mind continues to process what has been understood, an experience or pattern may simply begin to carry less weight than it once did.

At other times, change needs something more active. That action might simply be continuing to engage in therapy and allowing the process to unfold, or it might involve particular exercises, practices, experiments or choices outside the therapy room.

Often, both are happening together: something is shifting internally while we also begin to live differently in response to it.

It doesn’t have to be forced or rushed.

Your therapy, your direction

Therapy doesn’t have to follow a fixed route. What we focus on, how deeply we explore something, and the pace we work at can all develop around what feels useful to you.

Some people want space to understand themselves more deeply. Others want help with something specific. Often those two things overlap.

I may offer observations, questions, ideas or practical exercises, but you remain an active part of deciding where the work goes. The aim is not to shape you into someone else, but to help you understand yourself more fully and have greater freedom in how you live.

Ways we can work together

There are different ways we can work together, depending on what you want to explore and how you would like to approach it. Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy are both therapeutic ways of working, while past-life regression offers something a little different — a more exploratory experience.

You can explore each approach below and see which feels most relevant to you.

Is this the right place for you?

This work is likely to suit you if you want to understand yourself more deeply, explore patterns in your life or relationships, make sense of experiences that have shaped you, or find a way of living that feels more authentic and self-directed.

You do not need a diagnosis or a clearly defined problem. What matters more is some willingness to reflect, be curious about yourself, and take an active part in the work.

This is not the right service for you if you are currently in crisis, at significant risk of harming yourself or someone else, experiencing psychosis, or need specialist psychiatric or multidisciplinary support.

I also do not offer specialist treatment for personality disorders or other complex presentations that require a level of clinical care beyond the scope of my practice.

If you are unsure whether working with me is appropriate for what you are experiencing, you are welcome to ask before booking.

Ready when you are

You don’t have to be completely certain before getting in touch.

If you feel ready, you can book a session directly. If you would rather talk first, you can book a free 20-minute initial conversation to ask questions, tell me a little about what you’re looking for, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
